Inspired by the tale of David and Goliath, this project examines a leading industry giant - Disneyland - through the lens of sustainability. Much like David’s triumph with a simple sling and stones, we aimed to propose impactful, resourceful solutions to address the challenges posed by Disneyland’s operations.

Our “David” in this story is Planet Possible: a vision for a more sustainable and environmentally responsible Disneyland.

Located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, Disneyland is celebrated as the world’s first Disney theme park and affectionately known as “The Happiest Place on Earth.” But how does this cultural icon measure up when it comes to sustainability?

This project is dedicated to driving systemic change in how Disneyland designs, consumes, and manages its offerings - ensuring that the park’s magic continues to enchant future generations while living in harmony with the environment.

"Conservation isn't just the business of a few people. It's a matter that concerns all of us.

It's a science who principles are written in the oldest code in the world, the laws of nature. The natural resources of our vast continent are not inexhaustible.

But if we will use our riches wisely, if we will protect our wildlife and preserve our lakes and streams, these things will last for generations to come."

— Walt Disney, 'True Life Adventures' Series, 1950s
